Dust-holding capacity of tree plantation in the industrial area of Cherepovets, Russia

An important property of green spaces is the ability to capture dust particles from atmosphere, thereby reducing its pollution. The main organs adsorbing are leaves, therefore, in this work, dust-retaining capacity woody plants was determined by leaves. These studies relevant for selection an assortment with increased dust-holding urban areas. research work presents data on leaves following plant species industrial area Cherepovets: Betula pendula, Crataegus sp., Quercus robur, Acer platanoides, negundo, Tilia platyphyllos, Sorbus aucuparia, Malus Cornus alba. To determine amount deposited summer 2022, leaf plates similar morphology and age were collected Cherepovets. According results study, surface has highest pendula – 6.16 g/m2, aucuparia lowest 0.87 g/m2.
